Kaya Rose

We are so happy to welcome little Kaya Rose (pronounced Ky-a, in case you were wondering) into our family!  So far, she has been a fantastic baby, and we all love her dearly!  She was born on Tuesday, October 16th at 9:22 AM (and yes, that made for a very long night for Logan and me).

Weight: 7lbs 4oz (Lucy was 6lbs 10oz)
Length: 18.5 inches (Lucy was 20 inches)

Hair color: brown -- she does have blonde eyebrows and eyelashes though, so maybe she'll end up blonde?
Eye color: very dark blue

So far she has been a champion nurser and sleeper!  Last night I fed her at 12:30AM, 4:30AM, and 9:00AM!  For those of you who don't know -- that is INCREDIBLE for a newborn!  I really hope this trend continues.

Lucy loves to give Kaya kisses!

Lucy seems to be adjusting well.  She loves to hold and kiss Kaya, and has only smacked her in the face a couple of times.  =)

Thanks Heidi for the DARLING hats!

Okay -- I know that newborn videos are generally boring but I thought this was pretty dang cute.  She LOVES looking at her mobile, and it looks like she is silently laughing at it.  Plus, you get a really clear view of her darling dimple!

So I did not know you had your baby until this morning when I met your sisters at the park! Turns out we were camping when she was born and had no facebook access, and therefore we missed the alert!

But CONGRATS on girl number two! I'm sure you will make loads of cute stuff for them. You're a good mommy.

(PS -saw the viking hats, and they are awesome!)

Congrats!! She is adorable! It looks like Lucy is being a great older sister, they are so cute! Glad to hear everyone is doing great! Here's to more sleepless nights (sound like not to many though!) and more daytime naps!
