Kaya's 4th birthday!

Our sweet little Kaya is FOUR! 

Here is her birthday interview:

Favorite food: Chicken enchiladas

Least favorite food: I like everything, and I don't like anything! I like everything that Lucy's likes, and 
Lucy likes everything that I like, but she doesn't like avocado. 

Favorite color: Purple and red

Favorite TV show: My Little Pony

Favorite movie: Beauty and the Beast. Do you know what's funny in Beauty and the Beast? I don't know. I don't remember what's funny in Beauty and the Beast. We should watch it!

Favorite book: The Jake and the Neverland Pirate Book that we have

Favorite song: Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star (same, as last year!)

Favorite Toy: The Breezy names Sunshine (part of a My Little Pony Set)

Favorite church song: Jesus wants me for a Sunbeam, a sunbeam, a sunbeam!

What do you like best about church? Getting candy

What do you like to do at home? Cuddle up with you

What is your favorite part of Monkey School? Playing with my friends. 

What do you want to be when you grow up? Astronaut and a fashion designer

Favorite thing about yourself? Playing with myself


Kaya is spunky and fun. She is self assured. She is very observant and complimentary. She is so kind. We went on a hay ride and Kaya very thoughtfully shared her smarties with our whole family. She even bit the last one in half to share with Lucy. Then she said, "I should have shared the smarties with everyone else too!" I explained to her how most people are told not to accept candy from strangers, "But I'm not a stranger!" she insisted! How we love this sweet girl! <3

I was fortunate enough to be able to take her four year old pictures at the beach! So much fun!

River's 15 month stats

I offered Lucy a big handful of marshmallows if she could get River to smile for the picture. Totally worth it.

Words: Hi, please, cheese. (Good thing she can sign. Haha.)

Mobility: She just started walking more than crawling. And she is so proud of herself. It's adorable.

Favorite Foods: Breast milk, anything in a pouch, bananas, grapes, frozen peas, Mac and Cheese, prunes, graham crackers, and Pringles
Least Favorite Food: She likes almost everything!

Favorite Book: Personal Penguin
Favorite Song: There was a little house in the middle of the wood
Likes: She loves feeding herself, playing with her sisters, dancing, Baby Signing Time, shoes, her pacifier, riding on daddy's back, cheering at her sister's soccer games, riding on her little car and bike, animals, playing with/pulling hair
Dislikes: Being left along, bows/clips or elastics in her hair (she loves wearing headbands around her neck), being in a crowded room, when Kaya carries her

I feel like I see this all day. She's whining and pointing for me to pick her up.

She loves taking pictures. :)

River is such a sweet little toddler! She loves to look at books, and climb on things. And she is always so proud of herself. As soon as she gets to the top of something she looks for me and gives me a huge grin. She is much slower to talk than Lucy and Kaya were, but we just adore her little babbles. She loves animals and says "da!" for every one we see. She hums when she gives kisses but often psychs us out when she denies the kiss at the last second and bursts out laughing. Lucy adores her. When I pick her up from school she barely acknowledges me, but leans over River's car seat in a sing-songy voice and says, "Oh hi River! I missed you so much! You are such a little cutie pie!" We all love our little River girl!

She often sticks out or sucks in her lower lip. Or does a fish face. It cracks me up.
