A few months ago there was a groupon for This Is the Place Heritage Park in Salt Lake City. Since we live about 10 minutes away, I decided that we should check it out.
Our first stop was the mini pioneer village! It was very cute -- we had fun taking lots of pictures of Lucy.
Our next stop was the petting zoo! Lucy was having a fun time petting the goats and sheep, and even started laughing when the sheep licked her fingers. Okay, at this point I probably should have clued in, and moved Lucy's hand away from the sheep's mouth. Sadly, I did not, and the next thing I know, Lucy is crying hysterically because the sheep bit her! Poor girl. I just hope she's not traumatized for life!

We also went on a train ride, a mini train ride, learned about pioneer chores, and made arrowhead necklaces. All in all, we had a pretty fun time. Hey, I might even go again -- especially since I have still have one groupon left. =)

Great photos! Sorry about the sheep :Uncle Shane was bitten by a seagull. Andrew has also been bitten by a seagull -on a whale watching boat - and to top that he's been bitten by a swan. Let me mention that swans are large (6 ft tall) and aggressive. Did he provoke the swan? well yeah
The photo of Lucy on the little rocking chair is fabulous. What a cutie.
silly sheep. that is way i HATE petting zoos. not that my kids have been bitten, but the possibility creeps me out. our friends kid went to a more exotic petting zoo and a kangeroo attacked the kid. Jumped right up on her. yikes! I also love the photo of you and luz on the train.
