Mostly, I'm sick of packing. . .

We are moving this weekend.  I should be packing but, a) I am sick of packing, and b) I am running out of things to pack that we won't need in the next few of days.

So, I decided to blog about . . . Lucy.  I know, shocker.  Mostly I was feeling bad that I hadn't taken very many pictures of her the past couple of weeks since we've been busy getting ready to move.  However, I did find some very adorable pictures.  Enjoy.

First of all, Lucy is getting so big!  She has nearly outgrown her mobile.  She grabs onto the animals as they pass by, and then gets frustrated that she can't get them to her mouth.

Lucy can also reach the elephants hanging above her pack-n-play and pull them off (they are attached with velcro).  She is actually quite entertained by this.  Last night, I heard her making some noise around 1:30 AM and found her wide awake playing with the elephants (I just went back to sleep, and apparently she eventually did too)!  You can't really tell from this picture, but Lucy currently sleeps in the living room, poor girl.  Soon she will have her own room!  Hooray!

Lucy is getting better and better at sitting up!  Yesterday she even refused to lean back in her rocker.

The rest are just random pictures that I thought were adorable.  Oh, how we love this girl!

Cousins!  Lucy started chewing on the sleeve right after this picture was taken!

Wearing the darling outfit Aunt Jeanni and Megan got for her! Thanks gals!

Now, back to packing. . . ugh.

Does Lucy look like her parents?

So I was looking through some old pictures at my parents house yesterday, and found this picture of me as a baby.  When I was pregnant, my Mother gave me a box of some of my old baby clothes and toys, which included this dress.  Of course, I had to try it on Lucy -- and took lots of pictures.

Conveniently, we had a picture of Logan as a baby in a similar outfit (blue outfit, white collar).

So, what do you think?  Does Lucy look more like her Mom, or her Dad?

Regardless, we sure think she's the cutest baby around!

Tummy Time

Lucy used to hate tummy time.  I think it's because she likes to look around, and can't when she has face planted into the blanket. So she would cry, and cry, and cry, until magically, one day she realized she could lift her head high enough to see the world.  She even smiled at me today while on her tummy.  She will be crawling in no time! Good thing we are moving to a bigger place soon!

This video is pretty typical of what happened when I put Lucy on her tummy.
She even had a distinct "tummy time" cry.  Poor girl.

Plus, Lucy has started rolling over!  *insert proud mom face here*   I love this girl!

Lucy is Four Months Old!

Weight: 12 pounds 9 ounces (22%)
Length: 23 inches (10%)

Favorite Song: "Nephi's Courage"
Favorite Book: "I'm Not Cute"
Likes: Putting toys in her mouth, standing up (especially on my belly when I lie down), singing, when I "moo" at her, sticking her tongue out, her mobile
Dislikes: Wind in her face, when she can't fit the entire toy in her mouth, being put to bed at night, getting shots

Lucy is a great baby!  She still sleeps a ton, and although she hasn't been going to bed very well at night (we've started letting her cry it out), she usually sleeps from 11PM to 7:30AM.  She is a very mellow baby, and she smiles a lot! She has even started giggling at us.  It is the cutest thing ever!

Rockin' the tummy time -- you may notice this is no longer on her "dislike" list.
Although, it is definitely not on her "like" list yet...

Tired baby!

Lucy Jayne's blessing!

So, I was going to do a post about Lucy's four month check, but decided to do one about her blessing first.  I'm hoping to avoid getting mocked for waiting to bless Lucy until she was four months old.

The blessing was wonderful!  It was great to have so many members of our family there to support us.  So many, in fact, that I was starting to worry about fitting everyone into our tiny one bedroom apartment.  Luckily, it was a glorious day, and we were able to utilize the beautiful outdoors!

Lucy wore the blessing outfit my mother made for my sister and Hannah and me when we were blessed.  It was fun to have Lucy in this beautiful heirloom dress!

Since I already posted family pictures of the blessing on Facebook, I decided to just post pictures of us on this post.  We had a little photo shoot this morning to get more pictures of Lucy in her blessing dress, and more pictures of Logan and Lucy.  I think we got some good ones.

We sure think she's a pretty cute baby.  Oh, and I think that the long-haired guy with Lucy is pretty attractive too.  =)

Bald Eagles, and Hannah Comes to Utah

First of all, I love these people!  Logan is the best husband ever! And I'm pretty sure that Lucy is the best baby ever -- she takes at least two 2 1/2 hour naps a day and she sleeps through the night!

Love them!

Logan and I went and checked out Bald Eagle day at Farmington Bay a couple of weeks ago.  It was super cool! We saw around one hundred eagles (and I'm pretty sure I'm not exaggerating)!  This activity was followed with some mini-golf (thanks to parents for watching Lucy) and finally, Tepanyaki's.  All in all, a fantastic date!  Happy Valentine's Day to us!

One of the eagles flew pretty close to us.  Logan snapped this awesome picture.

Over President's Day, my sister Hannah came out from DC!  It's so nice that I don't work, and Lucy and I could spend some quality time with her during the day. Plus, it's fun to see Han looking more and more pregnant -- she is adorable!  Only two months to go!

You can't tell from this picture, but Lucy loves Hannah!

I couldn't resist putting up these pictures of Lucy. They are some of my favorites from last month! We sure love her!

Outdoor Adventures

I have been getting better at getting out of the house now that Lucy is older (she will be three months old this week!), and that I am getting more stir-crazy.  It is especially easy since my awesome sisters bought me an Ergo, so I can carry Lucy around.

Walking around the neighborhood
Also, thanks to my parents for getting us a fleece winter outfit for Lucy -- it's still pretty big on her, but it keeps her warm.  Plus, she doesn't scream when I put it on her anymore, which is a huge plus!  She is even getting more tolerant of the hood.

Logan and I have even occasionally gone out on the weekend -- as opposed to staying in and watching movies.  Our latest adventure was to the Moon, and to Mars.  Those count as "outdoor adventures," right?

You can see Logan in the background in the astronaut suit

On the way back to our car, I spotted a building I designed!  It is a lean-to building that attaches to the Delta Center.
